Making stuff?
The prototyping service is iterative in its nature and may include face-to-face consultations, time on the phone, problem solving sessions, research, pattern adaptation, and from-scratch patterning.
Combining textiles and circuitry?
If you are able to describe your idea and project in some detail, my role is to work closely with you to help you learn more about it.
Why?
The goal of prototyping is not to achieve a market-ready product. Prototyping sessions generate disposable artifacts, some of which you may find useful in your Kickstarter campaign. Let’s test your ideas! Pick the best parts!
On a budget?
An initial 15-minute consultation provides the opportunity to learn more about the prototyping process as well as help us decide if we are a match for each other.
Prototyping projects are considered custom work, requiring a minimum commitment of 4 hours towards the first iteration and an up-front deposit to cover these first hours. Prototyping services are priced at a rate of $45 per hour, plus supplies.
Experience and qualifications
My prototyping experience includes wearable technologies, assistive devices, Internet of Things, and sporting goods. I am recently certified in User Experience: Research and Prototyping (University of California at San Diego through Coursera.)
